Apple iPhone Two Factor Authentication Screen – How to Remove

On Sunday, April 16th, 2017 millions of iPhone users will wake up to the newest iOS update. On Saturday, April 15th, 2017, Apple users were informed of the latest update and encourage to complete the latest changes for the iPhone. Now, users are seeing this on their home screen:

Two Factor Authentication – Protect your Apple ID and iCloud data with an extra layer of security.

Unfortunately, you can’t just swipe and make this go away. It will stay on your homescreen until you actually go into setting and click under your Apple ID and iCloud settings. There should be a tab that states:

Turn On Two-Factor Authentication

If you are like me, you just want these notifications to go away and you don’t want all the passcode and thumbprint layers of security. After you click the tab you can then click

Turn On
