Does the Bargain Hunt Store Have a Credit Card?

Bargain Hunt is a discount retailer with stores in Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas. Most of the items in Bargain Hunt stores are name brands that are marked down 30% to 70%. It is similar to Ollie’s and Roses Discount Store. Even though items are marked down, most customers often still buy on credit or with a charge card. So, does Bargain Hunt have a store credit card?

In late 2018 and early 2019, it does not look as if you can apply for a credit card at Bargain Hunt. Note that their website does not mention any type of credit or charge card. You can read more about the company at their FAQ page.

So, if Bargain Hunt does not have a credit card, what are the next best options? Remember, retail credit cards such as a WalMart, Home Depot or Sam’s Club credit card often come at very high interest rates. It is not unheard of for these types of retail credit cards to have interest rates in excess of 25%. With the overall economy doing very well right now, there are plenty of credit cards available at low interest rates or a 0% introductory rate for a full year or up to 18 months.

The best option is to sign up for Credit Karma and allow their software to determine the best credit card in which you will qualify for. If you have a good credit score and you have not missed any bill payments in the last few years, you will likely qualify for a credit card from Chase, Citi or Capital One. These types of credit cards can have a very low introductory rate but remember that introductory rate period does not last forever. As soon as that introductory period is over, you are going to notice your higher interest rate will apply.

There is always the option to take out a personal loan. You can often find instant approval personal loans online. Before making any decision to take out a personal loan or get a credit card, always consider what you are using the money for. Sometimes it is best to simply pay with cash or write a check at Bargain Hunt.
