What is the Confederate Flag on I-95 at North Carolina Mile Marker 64

When driving on Interstate 95 from Raleigh or Virginia to Fayetteville you will see a huge confederate flag just off the road. It is not a small one; it is enormous. It has been reported, “As part of its “Flags Across the Carolinas” project, the North Carolina Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans has unveiled a massive confederate flag along Interstate 95 in Cumberland County.”

It will be interesting to see if this flag comes down now with the issues related to the rise of the “alt right” and Neo-Nazis after the Charlottesville rally. One would imagine there will be quite a bit of discussion on this topic with President Donald Trump voicing his opinion that there are good people on both sides.

Do you think this flag should come down? Is this an eyesore for those that live and travel through the central part of North Carolina? What is your opinion of this very large confederate flag on I-95 in North Carolina near Fayetteville?
