Today, April 19th, 2017, the Google Fetch and Render tool within Google Search Console, the old Google Webmaster Tools, is broke. When you try to fetch and render any article, blog post or piece of published content, Google will display the “An error has occurred. Please try again later.” Many may be asking if they have a blocked robots.txt file that is causing this issue. That is not the case.

If you are getting this issue, do not be alarmed, it is something Google is working on fixing. Sadly, you cannot get your articles immediately crawled and ranked in Google search at this point. At least, not until this issue or error has been resolved.
