Every single day there are hundreds of “cold callers” sending out emails on LinkedIn trying to drum up some new business. From my personal experience, 99.9% of those that send personal emails trying to sell something on LinkedIn are spammers that offer zero value to a business. Anyone claiming you can “go viral” or target prospect sales leads is going to offer a service for between $500 and $2000. Unfortunately, there is no regulation and some CEO’s and executives are willing to try this out to increase business.
If you are wondering if someone is just trying to take your money feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I have a very good eye for those that provide value and those that are just scammers. If someone sends you a spam email through your personal email, business email or LinkedIn always proceed with caution. If you truly want to generate sales leads Google a service and the company that ranks at the top of page one is likely your best option.
When it comes to generating target sales leads through LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest or any other social media outlet, please understand that you are almost certain to lose money and time trying to do this. Rather than attempting to game the social media system it is better to create a strong website that ranks on the front page of Google search. When someone is actively looking for your service they are much more likely to pick up the phone and give you a call. If they are browsing social media, they do not have the intention of paying someone for a service.
When all else fails, build a strong website with quality content. By doing this, you will be able to attract leads for years to come. In fact, you won’t have to worry about “going viral” or the changes in any of these social media websites or companies. Once again, if you have any questions about attracting sales leads online do not hesitate to reach out to me.
