The first Snapchat Story on Saturday, April 18th, 2015 is the Oslo Life story. This is one I did not predict Oslo as one of the next cities in my Snapchat “Life” article. It looks like Snapchat is doing their best to bring some International flavor to these Snapchat Stories. I think it is fantastic as it has opened my eyes to some of the different cultures around the world. This was a cool one because there was a brief video of a woman using a globe to show you where Oslo, Norway is. Here are some of the screenshots I took:

If you are from Oslo, Norway please comment below with a few things that are unique about your culture; I would love to learn more about this part of the world. Is it cold there most of the year? When do you have your summer months? Do you like sports as much as we do in the United States?

Summer is the months as Terje says. It’s quite a big difference from the North and the south parts of the country (obviously colder up north, but they do have summer there too).
If we’re lucky the climate and temperatures is kind of like summer in the south of France and such, the last couple of summers have been awsome!
Most tourists get really surprised by this, the roumors that it’s cold all the time (and that we have polar bears walking the streets) are not correct πŸ™‚
Norwegians are outdoorsy people, espescially from when spring and the sun arrives and the summer months.
Hiking, going for walks, enjoying the great nature we are blessed with, for example. And everybody’s hitting the beaches as soon and often as possible during the summertime.
cross-country skiing and all other kinds of snow activities are popular during the winter. IF we get enough snow.
Sometimes It’s slushy and icy in the cities, but then we just head up to the nearest mountain πŸ™‚
And we always talk about the water! Haha..
Honestly, Norway is a pretty great country. We kind of have everything nearby; the woods, mountains, sea, lots of great cities with lots of history, beautiful people.
Foreigners might find us a bit reserved, and maybe even stand offish at first, which is a shame cause we really aren’t. Once you get to know us we’re really outgoing and happy πŸ™‚
