Millions of Snapchat users are finally seeing the “New Snapchat” that was announced in late November 2017. The original batch of users were Android Beta users and those that live in Australia, the United Kingdom or Canada. Now, Americans are noticing that their friends are tweeting about it or posting about it on their stories. So, if you have an Android smartphone, can you get the Snapchat update on February 6th, 2018?
It is highly unlikely that you will be able to trigger the update. Even if you go to the Google Play store and download the latest version of Snapchat, it does not mean the new layout will be on your phone. Thousands of Snapchat users have gone to Twitter, Facebook and other mediums to ask what is so different about their Snapchat. If you don’t notice a difference, you do not have the “New Snapchat”.
Snapchat has stated that the only way you will get the new update is when they decide to release the batch to your username. You may have noticed that some of your friends have it but you do not. From our knowledge, it has nothing to do with the type or Android or iPhone you are using nor your operating system. Be patient and you will likely get the update tonight or early tomorrow morning.
