On August 19th, 2016 Snapchat released the “verified celebrity emoji” for Kim Kardashian. The verified emoji for Kim K on Snapchat is the peach 🍑. In the fall of 2016 only celebrities and highly recognizable names are getting an opportunity to become verified on Snapchat with an emoji. Unlike Twitter, Facebook LinkedIn, Instagram and other popular social media websites and apps, Snapchat offers verification through an emoji and not a check mark.
As time has gone on, almost all social media apps has offered opportunities for “regular users” to become verified at a price. In 2016, this was not possible. Only in March of 2023 did Instagram (Meta) allow users to pay for a check mark verification. This will likely be something that almost all popular social media companies offer as we work our way towards all people being on some type of social media.
The Kardashians have always been at the forefront of marketing, especially Internet or social media marketing. In 2025, the Kardashians partnered with Crumbl Cookies to offer the favorite desserts of all the Kardashians and Jenners. The reason Crumbl wanted to work with Kim Kardashian because of her, and her family’s, very large social media following. In fact, the week in April 2025 in which the partnership happened, it was the highest sales week of the year for most Crumbl locations. Whether you like the Kardashians or not, they know how to build interest and excited for a product or event. Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian’s younger sister, has also partnered with Crumbl Cookies.
It was very nice for Kim Kardashian to have a younger sister that understood social media in her teenage years. Kylie certainly helped Kim Kardashian fine tune her social media presence. So much so that the queen of Snapchat, Kylie Jenner, helped to get her sister, Kim Kardashian, the Snapchat verified peach emoji.
