In late 2019 and early 2020, more college girls than ever are looking for a sugar daddy. Thanks Tana Mongeau! While this article was published in July of 2016, it is still relevant today.
The “Sugar Daddy Industry” has exploded in the last several years. It all started when afternoon talk shows highlighted some of the most popular sugar daddy websites. Lately, college newspapers have written news articles on relationships that start on Seeking Arrangement or SugarDaddie.com. If you want to know more about finding a sugar daddy add me on Snapchat.
It is safe to say the sugar daddy lifestyle is here to stay. With most college students, recent grads and young women in their 20s and 30s now aware of this lifestyle, they are asking many questions about how to make money or get their bills paid without having to actually meet a guy.
Most of the popular sugar daddy websites encourage a relationship that involves in real life (IRL) activities. Depending on the expectations and negotiations, those circumstances can be as surface based as going on a date or for a drink or as serious as spending a week together in an exotic location. This is a huge commitment and can be very scary for any female, and rightly so. Safety is the number one concern that any male has to overcome when they are trying to court a female.
This is true in a bar setting, on a college campus or even at a business function. Women have the right to be cautious of males. Males are the dominant sex and are often stronger and more physical. Women should not jump into any unsafe situation in which they could be physically or mentally hurt.
With that being said, there are a large number of college girls, recent grads and younger women that want to make money to pay for bills yet they never want to meet their sugar daddy in real life. It will likely be the case that every sugar daddy on Seeking Arrangement and SugarDaddie.com will be looking for something physical and in real life. If you are looking for something online based you may need to go to alternative websites.
After doing a little research we stumbled upon two subreddits that will be of interest. The subreddit r/sugardaddy is for those looking for something physical and in real life. The subreddit r/sugarbaby is for strictly online relationships. It should come as no surprise that there are three times as many posts on r/sugarbaby as there are on r/sugardaddy.
When posting on r/sugarbaby almost every single woman offers personal photos, videos, private chat, sexting and voice messages. They all try to sell the opportunity to being a personal relationship that could move beyond being strictly online. The messenger of choice seems to be Kik. Some even offer Kik shows.
There is one major problem with this – half of the accounts online are fake. It would be very easy for some 64 year old balding man in his basement to create a Reddit account, download pictures from a website and charge a sugar daddy for these photos and videos. He could even get a voice distorter to make his voice sound like a female. If you don’t believe people do crazy stuff like this just go watch the documentary Catfish or check out the TV show on MTV.
The average cost for private photos, videos and voice messages is between $150 and $200 a week. There are also opportunities to spend less for “a la carte” options. These include $50 for a masturbation session, $10 to rate your pics and $20 to buy worn panties. Once again, there is no way to know if these are real.
If you think you are going to get rich being a strictly online sugar baby we would suggest trying something else. While you may be able to fool one or two guys into giving you $200 you have to remember that rich men are rich for a reason. They are not going to be fooled into sending you $1000 for a few videos. You are also going to find that you have to put in many, many hours for the money you earn. You aren’t going to make $200 for sending a few pictures.
These guys are going to demand a significant amount of your time and energy. Try sugar daddies do not demand a significant amount of time but the ones that are willing to spend $200 for an online sugar baby are going to expect everything from you.
As with any industry, the less that is paid, the more is expected. If you are a high end sugar baby in real life you could get as much as $2000 for a single date. If you are an online sugar baby you will likely make about $150 for creating 10 hours of video and spending 40 hours trying to convince a guy to actually pay you for them.
The best advice we can give is to remember that your time is valuable. Attempt to value your time. If you spend 40 hours a week posting Reddit ads or going on Sugar Daddy websites and you only find one guy willing to spend $200 a week on you, it is not worth it. This is valuing yourself at $5 an hour which is less than minimum wage.
There is definitely money to be made in real sugar baby scenarios in which you meet wealthy men in real life, but there is very little money to be made in anything strictly online. Instead of spending hour upon hour trying to find your wealthy knight in shining armor online, do something that actually improves your self worth and value your time properly.
Note that many young women are looking for a sugar daddy that can transfer money straight to their bank account immediately. Unfortunately, this is not the way the world works. Even if a sugar daddy wants to transfer money into your bank account, PayPal account or Venmo, it is going to take a few days to clear. This is something that all sugar babies need to understand before they assume they can share some sexy pictures on Snapchat and make money right now. It is a process and it takes time.
If you are looking to make cash money immediately, you are not going to be able to complete the transaction online unless the other person has the exact same bank account as you do. That is highly unlikely and it is even more unlikely that a sugar daddy is going to attach his bank account to send money to yours. Some will think that overnighting Western Union or a cashier’s check will work too. That is not the case.
If you have been a sugar baby or have an experience to share, please comment below. You can remain anonymous but we would like to hear about your successes and/or failures when it comes to being an online only sugar baby or an IRL (in real life) sugar baby.
