I spend a lot of time in Google Search Console, the old Google Webmaster Tools, and tonight I saw something that is uncommon. When going to the “Fetch as Google” tab and submitted a URL the status gave me a check mark with the word “partial”. Most time when I fetch and render a URL it status complete. After looking deeper into this I noticed that the websites that run more smoothly and have a stronger web presence are the ones that receive the complete status. The newer or less powerful websites are sometimes given the partial status. Here is what it looks like:
After submitting the URLs to the index they were crawled, indexed and ranked in Google Search so I am not sure why the status is still partial. I would hope they all turn into complete at one point but it looks like they remain “partial” for a few days. If you want to know how to get an article crawled and indexed in Google instantly click the link.
I will continue to monitor this and let you know what happens after some time. The good news is, from an SEO and search ranking standpoint, the articles I published on the WordPress websites are ranking very well in search. In fact, three of the four that I submitted to the index are now on the front page of Google for some competitive keywords.
