There is no question that many Snapchat users are trying to get through relationships while having social media. This can be a struggle when guys see other guys liking Instagram photos and Snapchatting their girls. Now that the Snapchat Map is available, there are even more problems and increased drama. We were recently contacted by a high school boy that wanted to know if the Snapchat Map location turned off if his girlfriend’s phone died.
Here is the scenario – His girlfriend got off work late and went over to a friend’s house. He wasn’t positive is this was a guy friend or a girl friend. He noticed that she was at the house until after midnight on the Snapchat Map location. At about 1:00 am her Bitmoji disappeared from the Snapchat Map and was no longer sharing the location. Around 11:00 the next morning her location was shared and she was at home.
Did she turn off her Snapchat Map location to hide what she was doing? Did her phone die and she didn’t have the opportunity to plug it back in? Is she cheating on him? Should he be worried about what she is doing after work?
There are many questions that only she can answer. That said, it is very possible that her phone died while she was at her friend’s house and the location stopped sharing. If an iPhone or Android phone is dead there is no way for the Snapchat Map to know the location.
While this is a possibility, there are many other possibilities as well. Maybe she went home with a coworker. Maybe she has another guy friend on the side that she only goes to see after work and she turned off her location sharing when she realized it was showing her at his house. Maybe is it just a girl friend that she was hanging out with and he has nothing to worry about.
All that being said, the Snapchat Map is causing relationship drama.
