Snapchat is known as the app where you have to press down on the screen to watch videos and video pictures. Well, that is going to change in the very near future. CEO and creator Evan Spiegel stated that Snapchat is working on a way for users to watch videos and stories without holding the screen. Well, some of my Snapchat followers have already found a trick on the Android version of Snapchat. If you have a newer Android phone you can use this trick.
To watch Snapchat Stories or videos without having to holding down or pressing down on the screen you need to tap the story with one finger then immediately tap it again with two fingers. Here is an example of how to do it (follow geohsnap on Snapchat for more):
Look ma, no hands! You can now watch entire videos and stories without any hands. Isn’t that awesome?
If you are unable to do this with your Android phone you may need to upgrade to a newer operating system or a newer Snapchat version. At this point in mid June 2015 this trick does not work on iPhones. I have tried multiple times and I can just get the tweaks and edits trick to come up. I have not tried it on an iPod or iPad but I would imagine if it doesn’t work on an iPhone it won’t work on an iPod or iPad.
